Revolution offers classes that both challenge and restore the body through physical asana practice. However, yoga is not only a physical experience. It is a practice that unites one’s body, mind and spirit by quieting the mind and creating a sense of peace through physical movement. We offer a wide variety of classes to appeal to students at all levels of practice. We understand the challenges of finding a teacher and a class style that is right for you and your practice so we invite you to come in and check out all that we have to offer.  We look forward to seeing you on your mat!

Suitable for all levels and a great starting point for beginners, our All Levels Flow classes include the practice of both gentle flow/dynamic and non-flowing/static asanas (yoga postures) and mindful, controlled breathing to help bring peace and acceptance to the body and mind. Through working the physical body in a slow and controlled way - releasing tensions and traumas stored in the body - you create space in yourself and through that space and balance create the opportunity for spiritual growth. All Levels Flow provides intelligent sequencing accompanied by music, joy, and a grounded intention. Teachers assist students with verbal cues and hands-on adjustments throughout the asana portion of class, with class concluding with a deep period of relaxation. Class length is 75 minutes.

CANDLELIGHT RESTORATIVE YOGA

Suitable for all levels and encouraged for beginners and those new to yoga, this class focuses on poses that promote relaxation, restoration and rejuvenation. Restorative Yoga is designed to help calm the nervous system while helping to release deeply held body tension, and the postures practices help relieve the effects of chronic stress, including weakness and fatigue brought on by our daily fast paced activities. Each restorative sequence is designed to move the spine in all directions by practicing backbends, forward bends, twists and inversions using props - such as bolsters, blankets, blocks and straps - allowing for deep relaxation. These poses teach us how to cultivate awareness by bringing our attention to the areas we hold tension and consciously releasing and letting it go.

DYNAMIC VINYASA FLOW

Suitable for all levels, our Dynamic Vinyasa Flow Yoga classes provide a revolutionary approach to the practice that focuses on connecting the breath with movement through creative and intelligent sequencing accompanied by music, joy, humor, and a grounded intention. Modifications are offered, allowing students to choose a basic or more advanced practice according to their needs. Teachers assist students with verbal cues and hands-on adjustments, with class concluding with a deep period of relaxation. Class length is 75 minutes.

JIVAMUKTI OPEN LEVEL

Suitable for all levels, our Jivamukti Open Level classes are dynamic and creative, with asana sequencing practiced alongside an inspiring mix of Western and Eastern music. A typical class includes spiritual teachings drawn from the globally-set Focus of the Month, structured asana (yoga postures), Sanskrit chanting, relaxation, and meditation. The largest portion of the class consists of asana practiced as vinyasa (movement synchronized with breath and intention), with the teacher guiding students through a vigorous sequence of postures.

The specific sequence differs from teacher to teacher, but all include similar sequencing points to ensure a challenging, fun, uplifting, inspiring, and well-rounded practice. Teachers assist students with verbal cues and hands-on adjustments throughout the asana portion of class, with class concluding with a deep period of relaxation and meditation. Class length ranges from 75 - 90 minutes.

restoraflow

Suitable for all levels and encouraged for beginners and those new to yoga, our RestoraFlow class is a combination of a slower paced vinyasa flow and Restorative Yoga. The flow portion of the class is perfect for those who wish to gain more flexibility and strength at a guided pace. Class will end with several restorative postures which will allow the body to fully relax in physically supported positions. Teachers assist students with verbal cues and hands-on adjustments, with class concluding with a deep period of relaxation. Class length is 60 minutes.

Suitable for all levels and encouraged for beginners, our Roll & Flow class offers a generalist approach to traditional yoga asana. Focusing first on large coordinated movements designed to invite length and heat into all of our usual problem places (i.e. shoulders, back, hips & hamstrings), we then invite foam rollers into the equation to continue work toward improved mobility and against sticky fascia. The majority of the class is spent working head-to-toe, through the fascial lattice of our bodies; with ample time for individual students to target their more sticky spots should they choose. The class then ends just as it began, a general flow - with a few more interesting variations should they make themselves available - allowing for proper personal assessment and integration. Beginner to advanced yogis, athletes, gym goers, and anyone in between will find profitable resources explained and explored in this unique deconstruction of traditional practice. Class length is 90 minutes, foam rollers are provided.
